My name is Dean (he/they), 31, living in Brooklyn.
I'm a writer and I'm interested in film, art, music, video games, and baseball. I am trying to live a full life exploring hobbies and various interests. I grew up in the Philadelphia-suburban sprawl, and now I live in Gowanus, Brooklyn. I have a Bachelor's Degree in writing for film & television, but I don't do anything with it professionally. I work in downtown Brooklyn at a movie theater.
However, I have a bunch of projects floating around: At least 3 novels, 2 screenplays, a few essay/blog series, and a mumble-core magical realism feature film about bocce.

You can follow me on a few other social media outlets. I've been posting less and less on Twitter since it changed its name, but I haven't fully broken away from using it. It's been a part of my entire adult life. I met my partner, Rebecca, on Twitter. It means a lot to me and it sucks that it is an atrocious, borderline unusable app. Bluesky is pretty good but it isn't cool at all. Letterboxd is closer to a real website than a social media platform, so I appreciate its functionality! I got all kinds of reviews on there from very silly to somewhat thought out opinions on movies. I love making lists!
